After growing up in a small rural community in Clinton, Oklahoma, NP A. Nicki Simpson understands the need for accessible, quality healthcare. Her goal is to continue learning and growing in an effort to help serve the community.

Nicki spent 10 years in Kansas City, where she graduated in 2015 with her bachelor’s of nursing at Rockhurst University – Research College of Nursing. After graduation, she worked in a hospital for 5 years as a floor nurse caring for a variety of patients, primarily in the cardiac critical-care, medical/surgical, and orthopedic units. During this time, she completed her master’s degree in 2019 as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Research College of Nursing and was credentialed through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Family brought Nicki to St. Louis, and for almost three years, she worked at an Internal Medicine outpatient clinic as a Family Nurse Practitioner managing acute and chronic illness while promoting healthcare prevention. This is where she came to enjoy orthopedics, and she remains a firm believer in staying physically active, as this plays into all aspects of overall health. Being vigilant to patients’ needs and helping set attainable expectations is important to her to encourage positive outcomes. Nicki wants patients to feel comfortable knowing they received clear information to make educated decisions.

Outside of work, Nicki enjoys going to the gym, running with her Golden retriever “Jack,” and spending time outdoors with family.
