Certified Physician Assistant

Chad E. Schmitz started at Advanced Bone and Joint in 2022, working as a physician assistant in the Ortho Urgent Care Clinic.

Chad graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1994 with a bachelor’s of science in health management and sports medicine. After receiving his certification as a certified athletic trainer, he completed an athletic training fellowship at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado, where he had the opportunity to work with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Team, the Denver Broncos, and local high school athletes.

A few years after working as an athletic trainer, Chad completed his graduate training at Joan & Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University in 2002 and began working as a physician assistant in St. Louis. For the last 20 years, Chad has worked in several orthopedics subspecialties in St. Louis and St. Charles counties. He is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his family and has a love of aviation.
