Certified Physician Assistant for Dr. John McAllister

Matthew Pliske joined Advanced Bone & Joint in December 2013 as a physician assistant. He works primarily with Dr. John McAllister.

Matt completed his undergraduate studies in 2009 at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he graduated with a bachelor’s of science in biology and an associate of science in chemistry.

Having grown up in St. Charles, Missouri, Matt returned to his roots after obtaining his master’s of science in physician assistant studies (MPAS) degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.

Throughout his experiences, Matt has grown to love all aspects of orthopedics. His desire to work in the field began while playing volleyball and suffering his own orthopedic injuries. He played volleyball at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis and was also a part of the Greater St. Louis Area High Performance Volleyball Club. While at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, he played for their NCAA Division I men’s volleyball team.

Matt enjoys getting to know his patients, so he can understand their bone and joint issues and help them throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
